Malawi
12-December 2024
I finished all immigration paperwork without any challenges but then we were told by the bus operators that we won't be able to leave for Lilongwe because of Custom related issues. The Malawi revenue Authority requires 100% counting of all goods crossing into Malawi for proper tax application. Since it was already late, the verification had to be done the whole of today and that leaving for Lilongwe will be tomorrow 13 of December. This means I had to find another bus to avoid wasting time and funds.
The only alternative was to come to Karonga, about 40 kms and get another bus which will take me to Lilongwe this morning.
Revenue Authority checked my boxes by opening one by one. I was also told to declare the kind of goods in writing which I did before I was allowed to leave.
The Lord prepared two individuals who helped me in everything including interaction with the authorities as it was already past working hours, re-parking, carrying and finding transport to Karonga. They talked to the driver to bring me here, find a hotel room and make sure I get Lilongwe bus today.
I thank the Lord for everything and it is amazing the way things happened and that I was able to go through all immigration and customs procedures successfully. I was also able to share a few tracts to many in and around the border control areas.
As I write, I am waiting for the friends who brought me here to come and take me to the bus stage, load the boxes and leave for Lilongwe.
I am sharing a few photos, i will send the first distribution report, Lord willing, tomorrow evening.

I am writing from Mzuzu City. I arrived here yesterday evening from Karonga.
Mzuzu is the capital of Malawi's Northern Region and is the third largest city by population in Malawi. The city has 221,272 residents and 20,000 commuters (Mzuzu University students) with about 1.7 million people in its metropolitan area.
As per the plan, I was supposed to have travelled to Lilongwe yesterday but the Lord put in my heart to share the gospel in this city too and so it took me about the whole day to reach here from Karonga. The road is a challenge and also the bus i was travelling in was stopping to drop/pick passengers frequently thus the delay in arriving.
Today around 9am I left my hotel room to start sharing the true gospel in Mzuzu.
The first place I went by the help of friends was Mzuzu Shoprite Mall where there is also a big hospital and one of the big markets here.
Then I saw something I have never seen anywhere which is the humbleness of the people and so the reception was phenomenal. There were times I reported about high reception rate at Karelwe in Kampala [in Kenya] plus other places but what I saw today was exceptional. Students, Medical staff, Shoppers, the Military and Police including presidential security (Malawi president was in Mzuzu today)-only one discarded tract. It took just about 20minutes and all TEOCAAA booklets were finished. People were just taking the booklets without asking.
A few hours a group of children performing in preparation for Christmas with their band came around the area. Some came to pick tracts and in a blink of an eye they overwhelmed me. Then their band master came and asked me to move to a different position because of Presidential Security arrangements. A lady among those leading the band came around and asked for tracts so that she can go share with others where they were going. I tried to ask her if she is aware of the content and gave a brief review but she told me it's the word of God. I then gave her a few.
At the same time she started taking the video as I was sharing with the children. She later sent the video to me which I am attaching(1).
After hours, around 4pm I with one of the volunteers went to a different location where we also distributed at an extremely high rate. Please see videos 2&3 which were taken just after we arrived. I am sharing two videos to show a lady who refused to take a tract first time but upon her return she accepted it.
The reception rate increased tremendously as the evening was setting in and it was just amazing.
As I said before, humanly speaking, I have never seen humble people anywhere like here in Mzuzu. Almost everyone accepted the tract and that respectfully, some will bend their knees to accept a tract.
Thus ended my day in Mzuzu and with what I saw I hope there will many whom the LORD will save.
All honor and glory is to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Tomorrow I will be leaving Mzuzu for Lilongwe to continue the work.
